How To Use Shave Oil

There are many different types of oils that can be used in your personal care routine, but today we will be talking a little bit about Shaving Oil. Shave Oil doesn't have to be some complex combination of 15 different ingredients, it can simply be as little as 4.

The 4 essentials you need in your shave oil.

Made with an expert blend of the finest oils to grace your skin. These oils are known for their excellent skin and hair softening qualities so your stubble becomes effortlessly easy for the blade to glide through without any resistance and leaves your face feeling hydrated and moisturised post-shave.

How it needs to be.

First

You need your shave oil of choice to be thin enough to spread nicely over the area of interest, not so thick that it clogs up the razor, and not so thin it instantly gets absorbed into the skin, leaving your face just as dry as when you started.

Second

The oil has to soften the hair, allowing the razor to get an extra smooth cut on even the tiniest of hairs, leaving no pesky stubble behind.

Third

Your shave oil needs to have anti-bacterial properties, disinfecting the skin so no dirt gets into the freshly trimmed hair follicles, thus creating ingrown hairs which in turn create irritating volcano spots, as I like to call them.

Fourth

Hair softened, shaved, and disinfected, you now want fresh, smooth, nourished and moisturised skin. Your Shave Oil should provide all the right natural goodies such asVitamin E,B-Complex Vitamins and A,to help your skin feel and look new!

Okay, How Do I Use Shave Oil?

When it comes to using a product for the first time, it's always best to try and find how another user has got on, their positives, so you don't have to live through the negatives. With that said, here's how I use my shave oil.

Preparation

I have a shower, or wash my face with water and then dry. Second I get my razor, shave oil and aloe Vera moisturising gel ready on the side. Third, I squirt 5 to 6 pumps of shaving oil onto the palm of my hand. I then rub the shave oil making it warm in my palms and then apply it to my cheeks, chin and neck.

Perform

Generally, I tend to let the oil sit on my face for around two or three minutes, in that time ill wash my hands so they are oil-free. The next step is to take my razor and shave, effortlessly of course. Make sure your blade is as sharp as possible.

Finish Up

Once my face has zero hairs left, ill clean my razor and puts my shave oil away. Back to the sink and turn the cold tap on, splashing my face with cold water roughly three times. Grab a clean towel and pat dry, Once shaved, cleaned and dried, ill reach for my aloe Vera gel, put a tiny pea size amount in my hand, rub between my pals and then massage into my cheeks, chin and neck.

There you have it, there's my routine, you may love it or hate it, everyone's different with how they use and enjoy their self-care products, and the best thing is, that's completely okay!
