Oasis Reunion Announced for 2025 UK and Ireland Tour

Oasis Reunion Announced for 2025 UK and Ireland Tour

Well, it's finally happening, lads! After years of "will they, won't they," the moment we've all been waiting for is here: Oasis is getting back together for a massive 14-date UK and Ireland tour in 2025. No more speculation—this is the real deal.

Now, before you get too excited, they're not headlining Glastonbury or doing 10 nights each at Wembley and the Etihad as the rumours had us believe. Instead, they'll be hitting up stadiums in Cardiff, London, Manchester, Edinburgh, and Dublin throughout July and August. Get ready to set your alarms because tickets go on sale at 9am on 31 August, with prices revealed on the day.

The press release calls this the "domestic leg" of the tour, with hints that Oasis might take it global later in 2025. As for why the Gallagher brothers have decided to reunite, there's no big dramatic reason—just a slow realisation that the time is finally right.

In a joint statement, the band said: "The guns have fallen silent. The stars have aligned. The great wait is over. Come see. It will not be televised." Classic Oasis, right?

These shows will mark 16 years since Noel Gallagher famously walked out before a gig in France, leading to the band's split. It'll also be 30 years since they dropped their iconic second album, What’s the Story (Morning Glory)?. Unlike Liam's current 30th-anniversary tour of Definitely Maybe, these reunion gigs won’t be just about that album. So, expect a mix of the old and the golden.

We don’t know who’ll be joining the Gallaghers on stage yet, and there’s no talk of new music either. But who cares? This is Oasis!

The buzz for this reunion has been building for days, with both Liam and Noel dropping hints on social media. They shared a clip of "27.08.24" in the classic Oasis font, and Liam even played it at the end of his Reading Festival set, dedicating "Half the World Away" to Noel and "Cigarettes & Alcohol" to those who claim to hate Oasis.

Liam’s been busy touring Definitely Maybe with Bonehead, and earlier this year, he teamed up with Stone Roses legend John Squire for a joint album. Meanwhile, Noel's been doing the rounds with his band, High Flying Birds.

We still don’t know the full story of how the brothers patched things up after all the years of public bickering, but it looks like the old wounds are finally healing. Liam even tweeted Christmas wishes to Noel in 2017 and hinted that he was looking forward to seeing him the next day. And just this week, Noel praised Liam's voice, admitting that while he could sing well, Liam’s voice had that extra something that made Oasis what it was.

Despite their years apart, Oasis hasn’t lost any of its magic. With 21.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify, they're still pulling in a massive audience, including a whole new generation of fans. Even Dua Lipa gave a nod to the band’s iconic style in her album marketing earlier this year.

Some are saying that Noel’s recent divorce might have been a factor in bringing the band back together, especially given the reported £20 million settlement. But whatever the reason, we’re just glad it’s happening.

Get ready, because 2025 is going to be one hell of a year. Oasis is back, and it's going to be biblical!
